- In 2010, 255 single family residences sold. 57 homes, or 22% of the year's sales, closed in October, November or December.
- In 2011, 57 single family homes sold in January, February and March. At present, we're pacing exactly the same with sales volume vs. 2010, so consider 22% of sales closing in first quarter.
- Note that during last year's December-March period, the number of Active Listings dipped to between 150-165. Take out the Inventory that is $1 million or more and you have approximately 100 or fewer homes on the market that are priced under $1 million.
Bottom line, you have a better chance of selling your home during the winter months. Why do people move then? Primarily for jobs.
